Safari Club International
30th Anniversary Celebration
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona
April 21st, 2018

What:  The Huachuca Gould’s Chapter helped celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Safari Club International at its Tucson location with an information booth and BB gun range
          When:  April 21st, 2018
          Where:  Tucson, Pima County, Arizona
General Information:  Safari Club International recently celebrated its 30 year anniversary in Tucson with reduced entrance fees, kid’s games and face painting, and food stands.  Several area conservation groups set up booths as well.  The Huachuca Gould’s Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation offered a BB gun range for the younger set and information for all ages.
Safari Club International has been very supportive of the activities of the Huachuca Gould’s Chapter.  The Chapter returned the favor.
On the BB gun range, around 175 of the younger visitors practiced their shooting skills on turkey targets.  Each received a certificate along with their target for participating.
Chapter members working the booth and range were Randy Keiller, Bob Pourier, Wayne Kaiser, John Millican, Rene Dube, and Tom Deecken.
This event was a great opportunity to tell the continuing story of the Huachuca Gould’s Chapter as well as promote safe shooting.

015 A Little Long In The Tooth- Even wildlife from the past could be viewed inside by visitors. This Wooly Mammoth seems somewhat over-dressed for Tucson weather, though.
