HGC supports Cochise District of the Boy Scout’s Fall Camporee

      Volunteers from HUACHUCA GOULD’S CHAPTER participated in the Cochise District of the Boy Scout’s Fall Camporee on October 26th, 2019.  At Base Camp in Hereford, Arizona, 90 Scouts and 10 adults received training in safe firearms use and marksmanship at the Turkey Federation’s inflatable BB Gun Range.  Other teaching stations taught Scouts about mountain biking, amateur radio transmission, and Buffalo Soldier life.  The Huachuca Gould’s Chapter has worked with the Boy Scouts closely over the last 20 years on 5 Eagle and Cub Scout projects that have improved water availability for Gould’s Turkeys in southeastern Arizona.
