but want to thank those families that registered and their interest in this camp.
HGC also wants to thank AZGFD for placement on the Outdoor Skills Network and
Arizona Sportsman for Wildlife Conservation for approving our grant,

Timeline: April 5th Chapter Camp Setup beginning at 1000
April 5th Participates Overnight camping setup beginning at 2PM
April 6th Registration: 0800 Event Start: 0900
April 7: Field instruction/scenarios and Turkey roost identification: 0500-1100

About the Event
Event is directed at educating youth and their family in learning all about wild turkeys, behavior, laws, calling, safety and planning a successful hunt. Field instruction will include patterning shotgun, id of turkey sign, listening to turkeys on roost and mock hunting scenarios.
Emphasis will be directed at providing needed skills to participate in the 2024 Arizona Youth Turkey Hunts. Open to ages from 10-17 who have completed Arizona Hunter Education.
Juniors-only hunts are open to properly licensed youth ages 10 through 17. Consult regulations for age cut off definition. Participants must have a hunting license and the proper tag for the unit they hunt. Over the counter tags are available at any AGFD office or AGFD license dealer. Youth ages 10-13 must have passed a hunter education course. Legal weapon is shotgun, shooting shot.
Youth participants must be accompanied by Parent or Guardian throughout the event.
Pre-Requisites: Cost of event: $35 NWTF membership through Huachuca Gould’s Chapter for NWTF event insurance purposes. Contact John Millican to purchase membership (number below).
JAKES memberships ($10) for all registered youth will be provided by Huachuca Gould’s Chapter, including free turkey call and instruction manuals.
Bring with you: camp chairs, warm clothes, camo clothes, hiking boots for Sunday field instruction, personal items.
Meals will be Provided by Huachuca Gould’s Chapter and Arizona State Turkey Chapter:
Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Sunday: Breakfast
Camp Setup on Forest Service Land:
Overnight camping allowed with setup beginning on Friday, April 5th, at 2PM. All types of RVs, Tents, vehicles accessible to event site. Dry camping only. No hookups. Porta Pots will be provided.
Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel, please do so by March 25th to allow time for additional families to register.
