The Huachuca Gould’s Chapter participated in Quail Fest on December 5th, 2021, at the Santa Cruz County Fairground in Sonoita, Arizona. Quail Forever, Southern Arizona Chapter, sponsored the public event.
This annual event offered local conservation-oriented organizations and businesses opportunities to interact with outdoor enthusiasts.
The setting in the heart of the Sonoita Grassland boarded by the Santa Rita and Whetstone Mountains and Canelo Hills was very appropriate. Gambel’s, Scaled, and Mearns Quail along with several other game species are found nearby in the varied habitats.
