Huachuca Gould’s Chapter Supports
2024 National Get Outdoors Day
For another year, the Huachuca Gould’s Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation joined local service organizations and agencies at National Get Outdoors Day on June 8th at Parker Canyon Lake in Cochise County, Arizona.
After learning firearms fundamentals and safety, 30 or so youth (and not so youthful) took aim at paper turkey targets in the Chapter’s BB gun range.
This community event was hosted by the Sierra Vista Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest. Other cooperators included the Huachuca Area Herpetological Association, National Park Service, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Tucson Audubon Society, Fort Huachuca Cultural Resources, Willcox Animal Control, Hearts of Gould Animal Haven, and Huachuca Gem and Mineral Club.
Representing the Huachuca Gould’s Chapter were Dave Kemnitz, Wayne Kaiser, Christa Mamuska, Carole Peters, and Tom Deecken.
